On my ride home, I noticed one of the ground pustules had popped outside my office. It stunk to high heaven! Wow! I had never seen one bleed, either! The gulls and crows swarmed it, anxiously circling in the air and inching forward, watching each other. It was really quite incredible to see them stand off like that for so long. Usually they get to the squabble quickly, but the standoff seemed to last an eternity. Before anything could happen, pus started to come out from the wound and they began to lap at it with their bird tongues., I'm sure there are many horrors that will come from this. But I will really be looking forward to the news coverafe on the pustule. Hopefully, the cleanup crew will hurry up and stitch that thing shut!
